The active ingredient in Xeomin is the neurotoxin incobotulinumtoxinA. This injectable smooths the frown lines between your eyebrows. Xeomin is the first neurotoxin injectable on the market that doesn’t require refrigeration.

Botox

Botox, like other neurotoxins, works by preventing the muscles that cause your wrinkles from contracting. Used correctly, this injectable prevents frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead wrinkles. Botox has been regularly administered for more than a decade and is safe and effective.

What happens before and after an injectable treatment for wrinkles?

During your initial consultation with Vivianne Lubrano, RN, she discusses your goals, medical history, risks, and possible side effects, and what you can expect during the procedure.

When you arrive for your injectable treatment, you’re shown to a private room. Your provider prepares your injections and may have you make exaggerated facial expressions or mark the injection areas on your skin. They also may apply a numbing cream to minimize any discomfort.

After your treatment, you may notice some immediate results, but maximum benefits typically take a few days to appear.

The effects of the injections are temporary and may last for several months. Eventually, to maintain the effect, you require subsequent injections.
